I have taught math at the middle/high school for the past 14 years. I have also taught four years of PLTW (Project Lead the Way) classes including Introduction to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering/Architecture and Engineering Design and Development. After moving school districts, I have successfully started a robotics program at Vale High School. In three years, teams from VHS have qualified twice for the VEX World Championships, hosted Vex tournaments and qualified for Skills USA National Leadership and Skills Conference. The Robotics class is focused around the Design Process. Student research, design, build, test, evaluate and redesign their robots to compete in VEX tournaments.
